For the renovation of their office building in Delft, NEN has decided to use a lighting installation with LED luminaires by Feilo Sylvania, equipped with Organic Response. NEN’s Edwin van der Zijden signed the official agreement with Patrick Stevens of Relighting and Marco Brugman of Feilo Sylvania on 13 July 2016 at the Feilo Sylvania head office in London. The tender for the project was won by a cooperation between the platform My Sustainable Business and its partner Relighting. After a joint presentation, supported by a sophisticated light design by Feilo Sylvania, NEN made this decision.
The agreement concerns 1.000 Rana LED luminaires made by Sylvania, equipped with Organic Response. With this, NEN has opted for a total solution, including the innovative Feilo Sylvania Smart Lighting Portal: a user-friendly web platform that expands on the benefits of the light control system and connects this with the smart building. The portal offers a powerful new tool for building owners, thanks to the PIR-sensor found in each Organic Response luminaire. Through heatmapping, this luminaire provides information about who is present in the building, occupancy, etc. Using this technology, the less used areas in the building can be identified, which enables an optimization of cleaning costs and security. The portal also enables the facility manager to analyze the energy use of each luminaire in the building, and detect broken luminaires. NEN aims to make their office building energy neutral. With Organic Response they have opted for maximum energy saving and optimal building management.
